Where is Strathcona Community Centre?

We are located at 601 Keefer Street, Vancouver, BC. V6A 3V8 (Keefer Street & Princess Avenue)

 

What is located in our shared complex?

We share the complex with Lord Strathcona Elementary School, Strathcona Dental Clinic, and the Chinese Elderly Citizen’s Association and Vancouver Public Library 

 

Where can I find out about community centre programs?

Information about our programs can be found in our quarterly program brochure, published for Spring, Summer, Fall, & Winter. Click here to view our 2014 Fall Program Brochure Email the centre at strathcc@vancouver.ca to receive a  PDF version of the brochure sent to you monthly or pick up a copy at the front office.

 

Are all programs listed in program brochure or website?

Most programs are listed. There may be some programs offered by program coordinators after the program brochure has been published. Please check out the website and/or Facebook Page for announcements.   

 

What is the OneCard & Leisure Access Card?

The OneCard is a no-cost Parks Board-wide pass that provides universal access to pools, rinks and fitness centres, and participating community centres across the city. To find out more, click here.

 

Do I need an SCCA membership card?

An SCCA membership card is not needed to participate in programs at the community centre.   Those who wish serve as director and or committee members of the community centre association and / or cast vote at the SCCA AGM to elect directors will require a membership card 5 weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting. 

 

What languages are spoken?

For Registration:  English & Cantonese. Vietnamese upon availability of staff.

For Programs:  English for all programs with exception to some seniors programs & new immigrant programs.

 

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donations?

Strathcona Community Centre Association is a registered charity. Donations are welcomed and gratefully accepted. An official receipt for income tax purposes will be issued.
